Admission Ticket

You will receive your online HPAT-Ireland Admission Ticket with details about the location of the test centre and reporting time approximately two weeks before the test date.  Candidates should note that there may be more than one examination room at the venue.  It is important to check your ticket carefully so that you know exactly where you should be.  You must present your Admission Ticket AND appropriate identification on the test day or you will not be allowed to sit HPAT-Ireland and will be turned away from the test centre.

Identification

On the day of the test you will be required to present an original photo-bearing identification document (in which the photograph is easily recognisable as a likeness of you as you are on the day).

On the Test Day

The duration of the test is 2 1/2 hours.  You must report to the test centre at the time stated on your Admission Ticket, but it is not necessary to arrive before that time.  The test itself will start as soon as all pre-testing procedures are completed. If you report to the centre after all candidates have been admitted to the testing room you may not be admitted.  No latecomers will be admitted once the test has started.

Penalties for Unethical Behaviour

HPAT-Ireland is a high-stakes test; that is, the results of the test have the potential to make a major impact on the future career of the test taker. For this reason, ACER, has established security procedures which will be strictly enforced at all times. The giving of false or misleading information during the registration process, and any form of cheating during the test itself, are viewed as serious breaches of ethical behaviour and will attract penalties.

Any candidate found to be cheating will automatically have their HPAT-Ireland scores cancelled and may be prohibited from registering to take HPAT-Ireland on a future occasion.
