Before registering for HPAT-Ireland, all applicants must first get their CAO number. You need this number to successfully complete your HPAT-Ireland registration. To get a CAO number please apply online at the CAO website. Please Note: If a paper application is submitted your CAO number will not be available until after February 10 and this will be too late to register for HPAT-Ireland. |

Should I sit HPAT-Ireland or HPAT Ulster? |

HPAT-Ulster and HPAT-Ireland are different tests. If you are applying to one of the following medical schools then you need to sit HPAT-Ireland: - National University of Ireland, Galway
- Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland
- Trinity College Dublin
- University College Cork
- University College Dublin
You should sit HPAT-Ulster if you are applying to The University of Ulster. Please go to http://hpat-ulster.acer.edu.au for more information. |

REGISTER NOW Registrations open online at 9:00 AM (GMT) Monday 10 November 2008 and close Midnight (GMT), 20 January 2009 for the standard €95 fee. Registrations will continue on payment of an additional late fee of €50.00 and close at Midnight (GMT), Sunday 1 February 2009. For entry to undergraduate medicine in Ireland in 2009 applicants will be required to sit an admissions test, HPAT- Ireland (Health Professions Admission Test - Ireland). The Central Applications Office (CAO) will use the results of both HPAT-Ireland and the Leaving Certificate Examination to make offers to medicine programmes in Ireland in 2009.
